Coaching and EMDR
During the coaching period, it may transpire that old patterns of behaviour stand in the way of your growth. One (or a few) EMDR sessions can often yield wonderous results. So called dysfunctional belief – systems and thoughts about yourself are cleared so that you experience strength and energy to move forward again.
Examples of dysfunctional thoughts are: “I am not doing it right”, “others are better”, “it is my fault”, “I can’t handle it”, “I don’t know”. These dysfunctional beliefs or thoughts can often be dealt with swiftly and effectively through EMDR.
Much information about EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and RDI can be found on the internet. Please consult Francine Shapiro (founder of EMDR), Allan Leeds (RDI developer) or Vereniging EMDR Nederland.
